Our Approach

ELLO Clinical Nutrition is an evidence based clinical nutrition practice that takes a holistic approach to developing personalized nutrition care. It is a shame-free environment where we can work together to find solutions that will work best for your health as well as your life. Recommendations don’t work if you are not able to implement them. At ELLO Clinical Nutrition we believe that nutrition is not one size fits all and that quick fixes do not lead to sustainable change.

About ELLO

Elizabeth Omizo, MS

I believe that food is fuel and nutrition can heal the body. Our small daily habits add up to become the picture of our health. I have found myself making my food my last priority a few times in my life and it had a major impact on my mood, stress and anxiety, energy levels, and how I felt physically throughout the day. I love finding practical solutions that will fit your unique circumstances.

While I work with individuals, both men and women, with a wide variety of conditions, I especially like to work with women’s health and hormone balancing clients. I have first hand experience with the serious hormonal changes that can come with menstrual conditions (dismenhorrea in my case), pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, and weaning. I want to support you in feeling your best through all life changes as well as any hurdles life may throw your way!

Dear Elizabeth,

I want to thank you for your help last year developing a thorough plan for meeting my wellness goals.  Your plan was so well developed and personalized.  I really appreciated you addressing exactly what I asked.  When I started to realize that I wanted the outcomes but I wasn’t prepared to do what it would take, I was embarrassed and concerned that you would be frustrated or disappointed with me.  It was very empowering to recognize you were there to support me as I am and that you had probably realized my goals might have been too ambitious for where I was at that point.

Your straightforward interactions with me about the plan and whether I was implementing it made all the difference.  You helped me realize what I wasn’t willing to do at that point and accept it.  Your professionalism kept me from feeling uncomfortable or judged about not doing what it would have taken to meet those goals and realize that wasn’t currently best for me.

Eventually, that sense of control and empowerment helped me take action.  Your guidance on weight loss and improving my sleep was right on target.  When I was eventually willing to commit to those recommendations, both improved.  I’m currently at a plateau where I want to rest for a bit, but I believe I will reach out to you soon when I will want to up my game.

Thanks again, Elizabeth.  I look forward to working with you again soon.
